So I finally caved in to all the pressure (percieved) on me and asked Kate out. No it wasn't the first thing I said in our morning conversation, it was more of the last, and it was offering to ask her out to dinner. Of course, predictably, she said "Well I am seeing someone," but she said she'd love to anyway.

So yeah, she is seeing someone...guess I should've abandoned all hope a bit sooner.

I'm not too disheartened though...

Dude, just keep talking to her!
If anything, you'll now have a new (female) friend.

I'd keep her as a friend, but that's just me. :D

Well yes that's probably what I'm going to do, I'm also going to keep talking to her.

While being petty and vindictive might be fun sometimes (to address the other side of the arguement presented in comments), she didn't exactly do anything to get that (plus I have that sort of vengeance in mind for someone different anyway)

*dramatic music plays with an extreme close-up of wolf99x's face*
*pan out and fade out to move to a short flash that may hint to whom this other person is*

silly mono kids and your "taken"-ness.
seriously... why should "seeing someone" stop you from seeing someone else? it makes no sense to me > <

P.S. this is mostly because a girl I like is mono and has decided that I am "taken" because I'm seeing someone. blegh.

I'm going to bet on that she probably isn't into polyamory. Hence why I'd say that she's taken.
